Club Raro is built on two and a half acres of tropical gardens canopied by waving palms, bordered by a shallow lagoon and protected by a magnificent coral reef.  Beyond is the big blue Pacific Ocean - playground of Polynesian people for centuries - and now it's your turn.  The beach is ideal for shell collecting or reef walking and offers spectacular views of the surf breaking on the nearby reef.

Club Raro is located on the north coast of Rarotonga, just five minutes from the main township and no more than twenty minutes from anywhere else.  Their reception staff treat you to your first experience of island hospitality - here you are an honored guest.

ACCOMMODATION

Club Raro has thirty nine rooms all with a queen bed and a single or twosingle beds.  Maximum occupancy for all rooms is three adults or two adults and two children per room. The rooms are spacious and cool and are equipped with a refrigerator, private ensuite with shower, overhead fan, tropical decor and private lanais.  Honeymoon rooms offer king-size beds.

2003 renovations:

Club Raro has repaved the resort pathways in mosaic tiling, garden and poolside rooms have been repainted and installed with new air-conditioning units.  All rooms now have radio/alarm clocks and the garden ad poolside rooms will soon have televisions in all the rooms.  The poolside bar has also been renovated with  Pacific Ocean influence and don't forget Happy Hour every day from 5:00 - 7:00 pm along with complimentary bar snacks.  The popular island nights on a Friday night are back in the newly refurbished function room and this now gives a lovely traditional Polynesian atmosphere.  The resort will also has a new tennis court.

DINING

The Club Raro restaurants and bars are the ideal place for an Island Night, casual dining or enjoying one of their delicious Island cocktails.  They offer a private location and island style decoration to match the occasion.

Their Island Umukai Feast Buffet and their Spectacular Live Island night show features the sounds of Cook Island drums and beautiful island dancers. Be serenaded by the old tunes of the islands while you enjoy eating tasty island delicacies such as the Rukau (cooked taro leaves), Ika Mata, (fish marinated in lime and coconut cream), banana and pawpaw poke.  Then share the magic of the dances of their islands with the Polynesian dancers and the hypnotic rhythm of the drums. These are held twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Private functions can also be held at the Club Raro.   They cater on request for weddings, receptions, celebrations and company or group functions and retreats. 

The bars serve an extensive selection of wines, beers, juice, soft drinks and spirits.
